Peace in the Middle of Chaos. I created this EP during a time of severe mental health struggles—a period marked by the constant repression of feelings rooted in trauma. It became a journal of thoughts I couldn’t fully understand: shame, guilt, anger, depression, self-hatred. Unaware of my trauma and the coping mechanisms I had developed to suppress my emotions—and with a completely distorted sense of self—I threw myself into overworking and escapism, using music and the fantasy of success as a refuge. As an immigrant in Europe, the economic reality only added to the weight. But within this storm, the act of creating brought a sense of peace.

Perpetual Bike Crash is an Amsterdam-based trio that defies easy categorization, blending the individual voices of Francisco Garrido, Micheal Murray, and Joshua Lutz into a seamless, organic movement of sound. Hailing from Venezuela, Ireland, and Germany respectively, the three musicians found common ground in the Netherlands, where they have spent the last three years crafting music that bridges indie, ambient, electronic, and cinematic influences.

Since moving to Amsterdam in 2020, Venezuelan singer-songwriter and producer Francisco Garrido has quickly established himself as one of the rising voices of his generation. Known for his unique approach to composition, characterized by great imagination—weaving sweet, flowing melodies with fresh harmonies—paired with unconventional production that creates a deeply textured and colorfully melancholic sound.
Working under the pseudonym Tzara the Machine, Francisco writes his music as a journal for thoughts and feelings he tries to understand: shame, guilt, anger, depression, and self-hatred, all deeply rooted in trauma. Faced with the economic reality of being an immigrant in Europe, he resorted to overworking and escaping reality through music. His music becoming a safe haven during difficult times—a source of peace in the middle of the storm.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Björk, Arca, and Animal Collective, Tzara creates a fresh, organic sound by mixing sampled acoustic instruments with electronic elements. Vulnerable lyricism and sonic experimentation make Tzara The Machine a captivating and unique musical act.
Francisco has studied in Berklee College of Music and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and has been supported by the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation for 7 years.
